CATHY HOGG: EVENTS COORDINATOR

As Events Coordinator for Roll Call Chicagoland, Cathy Hogg plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring RCC events are welcoming, well organized, and thoughtfully executed. Her commitment to service and community has been shaped by both her professional journey and her longstanding connection to the military community.

Cathy grew up in Kenai, Alaska, and attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks while working to pay her own way through college. What began as a part-time job at Sears evolved into a 23-year career, with Cathy advancing through multiple roles at both the store and corporate levels. Living in Fairbanks—home to Fort Wainwright and Eielson Air Force Base—exposed her to military life and fostered a deep appreciation for service, reinforced by her own family’s military history.

After transferring to the Chicagoland area, Cathy worked at Sears’ corporate headquarters in Hoffman Estates, where she became active in the company’s Military ERG, the Associate Military Network. Through this involvement, she built relationships with fellow veterans and advocates at Roll Call networking events that helped lay the groundwork for the founding of Roll Call Chicagoland in 2017.

Cathy joined RCC as an attendee, volunteered with the Events Committee, and eventually stepped into the role of Events Committee Chair, where she continues to provide structure, organization, and steady support. Following the closure of Sears & Kmart, she transitioned into her current role as Human Resources & Accounting Coordinator at Atlas Engineering Group, Ltd. in Deerfield, Illinois.

Known for her attention to detail, strong proofreading skills, and calm, reliable presence, Cathy brings a visual and creative mindset paired with a highly structured approach. Outside of work and volunteering, she is an avid bowler, competing in multiple leagues and tournaments across Illinois and nationally. Her highest official game is a 279, and she’s still chasing that perfect 300.
