JACK DETZEL: PRESIDENT, BOARD OF DIRECTORS
As President of the Board for Roll Call Chicagoland, Jack provides strategic leadership and governance oversight, guiding the organization’s mission to connect, support, and empower military-connected individuals and their families throughout the Chicagoland area.
Jack recently retired after a distinguished 38-year career with PepsiCo, where he held multiple leadership positions across manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, supply and demand planning, customer service, and supply chain optimization. He helped lead major initiatives including the implementation of VMI planning and SAP ERP systems across PepsiCo’s diverse subsidiaries such as Quaker Oats, Gatorade, Tropicana, Frito-Lay, and the Pepsi Bottling Company.
A proud veteran advocate, Jack served for 11 years as Chair of PepsiCo’s military and veterans Employee Resource Group, Valor. Under his leadership, Valor strengthened PepsiCo’s reputation as a national leader in veteran hiring and partnered with numerous organizations including USO Illinois, Fisher House Foundation, American Corporate Partners, Fort2Base, Operation Shower, and Roll Call Chicagoland.
Jack holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation Logistics and Operations Management from The Ohio State University, with minors in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Economics. An avid runner and community volunteer, he has completed multiple marathons and enjoys coaching youth sports, playing guitar, and reading history.
