JUSTIN MILLER: SECRETARY, BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Justin Miller is a veteran leader, entrepreneur, and community builder whose work centers on helping veterans translate their skills and experience into meaningful civilian careers and business ownership. He is a founding leader of Roll Call Chicagoland and continues to play an active role in shaping the organization’s mission and partnerships across the region.

Justin is the owner and operator of Home Fixers, a veteran-owned handyman and home services company based in Winfield, Illinois. Through Home Fixers, Justin leads a team delivering high-quality residential and commercial services—including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, remodeling, and smart home integrations—while emphasizing craftsmanship, reliability, and customer trust. His work reflects a broader commitment to local small business growth and veteran entrepreneurship.

In addition to his work as a small business owner, Justin serves as Executive Director of the Living Business School at the Veteran Business Project. In this role, he helps veterans navigate the entrepreneurial journey from early ideation to investor readiness. The Living Business School offers veterans structured education, experiential learning, and mentorship, including exposure to alternative pathways such as the Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) model, empowering participants to launch or acquire businesses with confidence.

Justin’s leadership across Roll Call Chicagoland, Home Fixers, and the Veteran Business Project reflects a consistent focus on opportunity creation, peer support, and long-term sustainability for veterans and military-connected professionals. His work is driven by the belief that community, mentorship, and practical guidance are essential to helping veterans succeed—whether they are building careers, businesses, or both.

Justin holds a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from DeVry University.

When he’s not working or volunteering, Justin enjoys taking on home DIY projects, spending time with his three children, and living by the mottos: “Try everything twice” and “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
