A Leader’s Next Chapter: Congratulations, Jack Detzel

At Roll Call Chicagoland, we talk often about leadership, service, and community. Few people embody those values more fully than our Executive Chair, Jack Detzel—and this week, we’re celebrating a remarkable milestone in his journey.

After 38 years of distinguished service at PepsiCo, Jack has officially retired. It’s a milestone that marks the end of an era—but it’s also the beginning of a new one. For those of us lucky enough to work with him at Roll Call Chicagoland, we know Jack's impact is far from over.

Throughout his career, Jack built more than supply chains—he built people. Colleagues, teams, and communities alike have benefited from his wisdom, candor, and belief in lifting others up. His dedication to the military-connected community—through organizations like Valor, the USO, ACP, Fisher House, and Roll Call Chicagoland—has made a lasting difference.

In every space he leads, Jack brings not only professional excellence but an unwavering authenticity. His ability to combine heart with strategy has helped guide our organization through seasons of change and growth. He challenges us to show up, speak truth, and serve well.

As he steps into this new chapter, we’re honored to continue benefiting from his leadership and friendship. Retirement may have closed one door—but many more are opening, and we’re proud to walk alongside him.

Congratulations, Jack—and thank you for showing us what leadership looks like when it's grounded in purpose.
